Around the House Fall 2017
Here at Mackie Lake House we have an active September coming up…

Sept 15 Remembering Paddy
Every September we get a little melancholy as we mark Paddy’s birthday and remember the person that is responsible for the Mackie Lake House being preserved for future generations.  Paddy’s foresight and generosity enables whole new generations of people to come and experience this place and its stories.  If you knew Paddy and want to come by the house on the afternoon of September 15th between 2:00pm and 4:00 pm we will be having a very informal come and go open house where you can visit, share your memories and toast Paddy.

Sept 17 Barn Tour
Mackie Lake House is pleased to host the return of the Barn Tour on Sunday, September 17th from9:00 am-2:00 pm. The tour features a number of local historic barns including the Coldstream Ranch barn. The first Barn Tour held in June sold out immediately and was a huge success. If you missed the first one, join us for this one. Storyteller, Ken Mather, will engage you with the history of the barns as researched by Peter Tassie. Some of the barn owners will be on hand to add their personal stories. Meeting at Mackie Lake House, you will be transported by bus to each of the barn locations and to wrap up the tour we will be returning to the Mackie House where you will have lunch overlooking Kalamalka Lake. Tickets $35 per person for Bus Tour and Lunch, available at before September 15.
