Mini Music night with Andrew Allen
Well. It’s September. Already. Can you believe it? What a summer!
We thought between COVID-19 and the cool rainy weather we were having that this summer was going to be difficult at Mackie Lake House, but it turned out pretty good! Private tours, small rentals and our own events kept us busy.
Mini Music at Mackie evenings sold out quickly and the two concerts with Andrew Allen were warm and sunny! Andrew and his friend Taylor McKnight are so talented and entertaining! We hope to have them back again next summer.
The private tours offered by appointment only were a huge success for Mackie Lake House this summer. Guests would call and ask they could book one and we accommodated everyone who asked. An hour (or more) long tour, followed by a refreshing beverage sipped overlooking the grounds and Kalamalka Lake were enjoyed by all who came. September is looking a little quieter. We have cancelled our Artist in Residence for this year due to COVID and will not be having as many weddings and other events as usual. Time to catch up on some of the artifact work and organization in the House, as well as planning for 2021.
